Frequently Asked Questions

What types of fire investigations does Rogers Forensic Plus handle?

We investigate structural, vehicle, marine, oil-field, natural gas/propane plant, and wildland fires. Our expertise covers origin & cause analysis, fire pattern & damage assessment, electrical fire diagnostics, and comprehensive site documentation.

How long does a typical investigation take?

Most origin & cause investigations on residential or small commercial properties are completed within 2–5 business days of our initial site visit. Complex or large-scale cases (industrial facilities, multi-family units, oil-field sites) may require additional time for data collection, lab analysis, or 3D scanning.

What is the cost of a fire investigation?

Fees vary based on scope, location, and technologies deployed (e.g., 3D Matterport scans, drone surveys). We provide a detailed, no-obligation estimate after an initial case review. Please contact us with basic details to get started.

What do you need from me to begin an investigation?

We’ll ask for any incident reports you have, basic site access details (address, restrictions), and contact information for site owners or insurance adjusters. From there, we schedule a site visit to evaluate safety, scene conditions, and evidence-preservation needs.

Do you offer 3D scans and drone footage?

Yes. We integrate 3D Matterport scans and aerial drone imagery into our reports to create immersive, measurable records of the scene. This technology accelerates analysis, improves accuracy, and provides compelling visual evidence.

Are your reports and testimony accepted in court?

Absolutely. Scott Rogers and our team have given expert testimony in both federal and state courts. Our reports comply with NFPA guidelines, OSHA regulations, and relevant building codes to meet the highest admissibility standards.

What certifications do your investigators hold?

Our team holds Master-level certifications from the Texas Commission on Fire Protection (Master Firefighter, Master Fire Inspector, Master Fire Investigator, Master Instructor), plus CFEI and CVFI accreditations. Scott Rogers is also IFSAC-certified and a National Fire Academy instructor.

How do I schedule a consultation or site visit?

Simply fill out our contact form, email info@rogersforensicplus.org, or call/text (210) 974-8710. We’ll respond within one business day to confirm availability and next steps.

Do you provide training or seminars for insurance professionals?

Yes. We offer continuing-education seminars on origin & cause techniques, scene processing best practices, and working relationships between investigators and insurers. Contact us to schedule an on-site or virtual training session tailored to your team’s needs.

What geographic areas do you serve?

While based in San Antonio, we conduct investigations and training seminars throughout North America. Travel fees may apply for locations beyond Texas—but we’re happy to coordinate logistics for any region.
